✥ NAME & DEVICE USERNAME: Red
✥ CANON: Original - inspired by Monsterhearts: tabletop rpg
✥ ONE-LINE PITCH: Cerberus turned teenage hall monitor
✥ DEAD / ALIVE / IT'S COMPLICATED: It's complicated.
✥ ARC OF ARRIVAL: Sky whale
✥ INVENTORY:
✘ Cigarettes
✘ Flask
✘ Hall monitor vest
✘ 25340 coins from MH shenans
✥ Red's Ability: As Cerberus, Red is able to sense other people's souls. They usually appear to her kind of like an aura - color and scent and feeling all mixed into one. Given she's not in the Underworld anymore, this can easily be explained away as something she can't do here if you don't want your character's soul to be seen and you can also specify exactly what (if anything) she gets from it so it can be as vague as you'd like.
✥ About Red Given Red is made of the Cerberus of the Underworld and a teenage soul (she doesn't know that part), she will give off magic/dead/ancient vibes to anyone who can sense that. No permission needed!
✥ Can Red see/sense your character's soul? Y/N
✥ If yes, please describe it: You can describe it in terms of colors, scents, vibes, whatever you'd like, and what she'd be able to sense from those colors or scents. Make it as vague or specific as you want.
i.e. if I wasn't playing Wrath and I wanted her to see his soul (tho who knows if the devil has one of his own), I'd say his soul is black and gold, smells of brimstone and power, feels of cold and war and death and many unspeakable things. Feel free to flavor it how ever you want!

✥ If yes, please describe it: Probably slightly inhuman, given that she was created using magical glowy alien particles, thanks Reggie. Iiiiii would say her soul is more than a little tarnished by some of the manipulative choices she's made, but it's tending towards the reds lately with all that anger she's holding onto. I would say there's a deceptive warmth to her, because she has the ability to be kind, but it's not her true nature and she's fighting to be better so while I would say that she doesn't feel like a warm hug necessarily, but one of those awkward ones where you know they're trying but it still doesn't feel quite right. And it probably smells of something simmering.
I don't know if this fully makes sense, I may come back and edit.

I love the description of an awkward hug as well as the colors of red. Thank you so much for filling this out!

2. Yuki has a very bright aura that flows around him like a warm cloud of sunlight, with ribbons-like beams of light floating off from the cloud as if reaching out to touch everything around him. When he's angry it can crackle more like electrical energy. He siphons energy from the light around him so it can look like light is being pulled towards him and coming from him at the same time the cloud constantly shifting. And something about the aura has this tinge of Very Very Old And Definitely Not Human. As for scents, it probably smells like warm, heavy ozone. Like humid sunny air after a thunderstorm blows through.

✥ If yes, please describe it: Not sure how it would appear, but probably very dark/smoky, totally up to you. The scent might be something like blood, smoke, and/or taste bitter like venom since taste is linked to scent. If you want to include Vanessa's inner-conflict into the mix, there could be fractured spots or different colors, but this is super optional.
It's an amalgamation of sorts. It's Vanessa's soul, but it's also the soul of an old goddess (which is what demons usually sense). The name might vary based on the mythological incarnation (Amunet, Hella, Lilith), so if there's a Greek equivalent, that could be fun. Or could just be felt as 'old and dark', if you wanna keep it vague.
no subject
I bet that there is a Greek equivalent. I'll look into it - maybe just kind of remind her of that Greek equivalent.
no subject
I would normally look to the more primordial gods, but I'm not sure any of the Titans fit... Damn, why the ancient Greeks gotta have so many gods?
no subject
However, I can also keep it vague since it's obviously not a direct translation, but definitely sensing the god-like soul within is the most important part.

update!
I didn't think to ask before; do Red's senses include auditory?
no subject
It definitely can include auditory!
no subject
Not sure why I didn't think of it before, but it still can work now! Might include the sound of scratching, which might be quiet or louder depending on what Vanessa's doing/feeling with her mojo. Think maybe...nails dragging and tearing at a thick fabric like burlap, or maybe at leather. Maybe at skin. It could be a feeling, too, if you want. I'll let you play with it as you like!

If yes, please describe it: a feeling of a gentle wind that will at times start roaring like a storm. Associated colors are blue, gray and amethyst. Somewhere, sometimes, a cat will meow.
no subject
Sometimes hearing a cat's meow, heh, but mostly a gentle wind with a roaring storm. Beautiful.

✥ If yes, please describe it: So imagine the golden glow of a huuuuuuuge power reactor. It's hot and fiery and insanely powerful, and it feels like it could explode at anytime... and yet the heat also feels very gently and kind when you approach it. There's definitely a feeling of potential danger here, but it's reined in by something soft and calm and gentle that feels even more overpowering.

Excellent descriptor - very scary but also sweet?

✥ If yes, please describe it: gosh um. Well, he's a very warm, soft person. Probably a lot of yellow/orange with some blue/purple highlights. He feels like a cozy fire, like a home, probably smells woodsy or something. Comforting, basically. But deep underneath, there's a chill and an edge to it, like a sharp taste of metal or blood. There's a lot of pent up anger in there, a lot of rage that could come out of him, but it would take a lot for him to get properly angry for something like that to explode into righteous fury. But it is there and undeniable, just buried beneath several lightyears of whatever the equivalent of "slightly anxious golden retriever" energy is.

✥ If yes, please describe it: This version of the Doctor, while looking so young, is ancient and weary. He's seen everything out there, all the wonderful and terrible things the universe contains, and he himself has been the very worst of the worst and the very best of the best. He would smell like the ghosts he's both lost and forged by his own hand, like the cooling smoke when a fire is extinguished. There are contrasts in his colors and the feel of his aura; light and dark, hot and cold, angry and soft. I think his soul has a tinge of deep red like a slow-moving lava flow; seems almost mild until you get close and then it burns so hot it can destroy in an instant. And yet, there are soothing, soft blues and purples, denoting the true heart of him, the kindness he tries to live by, the sense of protection he feels for everyone he meets, his dedication to helping wherever he goes. I think his overall vibe is like a cozy, soft, warm blanket, but the blanket has a few holes in it so sometimes the cold and the dark creep in.

✥ If yes, please describe it: There are a couple of different kinds of energy surrounding Fei all folded into one, and one almost seems like it's not hers and was put there - that energy reads as very hot, active, and vibrant. Fei's energy is less crackling, although there is an erratic note here and there, it's a shifting energy like it's trying to adapt to its surroundings. There's also strong hints of rivers, wine, and metal.

✥ If yes, please describe it: I'm going to say, brighter twisting reds, oranges, and yellows but with a hint of darker reds, grays, and blacks tied in as well. She has a vibrant personality that only just masks the darker and much more dangerous side of her that she's never quite pulled free of. The smell is probably of ozone and sparks and dust, maybe a faint whiff of old books. The impression of sharp edges and steel sliding against steel, but she has a warmth to her as well and is still nursing a fair amount of lingering hurt over being left in The Library by the Doctor, never mind her anger. Maybe something like the feeling of a dimly glowing fire.

✥ If yes, please describe it: At her core is grief and anger. The smell of orange blossoms and plumeria snagging on the summer breeze. The warm hearth of a small kitchen. A garden full of herbs and burning flowers in rose gold. Vines and heat. Lavenders and silvery blues. Moon and moonlight, a reminder that its light is the sun reflecting upon it, and she burns. Beneath it all, an ancient and elemental rage, righteous in its fury. Fractured and chained, half-waking — with lavenders turning merlot.

Clara's soul has shades of yellow for her hope and spontaneity and her general positiveness. Sprinkle in some dark blue for the deep sadness she's feeling but trying to hide, and a dash of brown warmth, like a cozy sweater you trust to keep out the cold. She smells like freshly melted snow and when the air is just changing from winter to spring, like everything is possible because of all that hope she tries to hang onto.
But she feels a little heavy under her outward happiness, like she has something weighing her down. The death of her mum and having to take care of her dad while he fought his way through grief, the death of her best friend during a visit, and now the regeneration of the Doctor into someone she doesn't know. There's fear, there. She's also technically died once, but the Doctor saved her.
I'm not sure if Red could know this or not, but Clara split herself into millions of copies and spread herself throughout the Doctor's time stream while he was dying. When she did that she 'died' but he went after her because god forbid anyone die for him. There are so many pieces of Clara out there and they've all (mostly) died to make sure the Doctor doesn't. I'm super chill on whatever Red might want to cull from that!
no subject
I love it.
I definitely think this is something Red could potentially know or have a sense of, but I think it's probably nothing she's ever experienced before so she wouldn't even potentially know what it is she's sensing. But she would definitely be able to sense a split. Maybe it feels like a lot of echoes to Red? And in general, she can definitely sense those who are dead versus alive so I can see her... struggling with this sense that Clara is dead but not too or having a very strong sensation of death though she's also alive. What do you think?
no subject
I can definitely understand it not making much sense to Red for sure, there are all of these scattered pieces of her that have died, but here she is alive and well. It's conflicting and confusing as hell. I honestly think that sounds perfect in whichever way you want to interpret it - I hope that isn't too vague but I can't wait to see what you do with it! Just let me know if you need anymore to go on and I'm happy to think on it more :D

Red's a bulldozer so I'm sure it will come up relatively immediately lmao especially given she's never seen an aura-soul like this one before.
no subject
If yes, please describe it: Conflicted. Yellow-green like the bio-luminescent glow of a firefly. Bruise purple. Thinly ringed deep red. Feels like an afternoon wind on warm skin, like hanging upside down, like struggling against restraints. Smells like nostalgia, and underneath it, metallic like blood. Tastes like boxed macaroni and cheese with sriracha sauce.

✥ Describe: Like a candle lit in a library; smell of books and silence, maybe a storm beyond the walls; bright and steady, with the occasional flicker of self doubt.
no subject
✥ Can Red see/sense your character's soul? Sure
✥ If yes, please describe it: Like a volcano about to erupt. Deep rumbling, smoke, heat, calm on the surface but boiling underneath. Red, black naturally. A sense of anger, frustration, a sense of something wrong. A sense that she's looking at one aura, but also not just one, but it is just one? A sense of something underneath, silver, quiet and nearly drowned out, lonely and tired.

✥ If yes, please describe it: A mottled wash of purples, blues and oranges, colors ranging in intensity from muted pastels to rich jewel tones or bright neons depending on when you catch him, always specked and stroked with burning amber light. Most often it evokes a nebula and its stars, vast and frightening power made beautiful by his boundless wonder for the things he's yet to know. But caught from a different angle or on a worse day it also evokes a perpetual bruise, each star a deathscar, each zipping meteor a weight on his conscience. Recently corrupted, the smell of thick tar and grave dirt sometimes overpowers the warmer notes of incense and fresh honeyed tea, though a disinfectant smell, hospital-ward sharp, sweeps through to clean away these scents when they grow too strong.
In there somewhere, perhaps as one small planet in the spacescape of the rest his aura, is a hidden reserve of red and of black, a richer more ominous purple, and should he ever open the eye hidden in his forehead those colors start to spill out and slowly consume the rest of him. Death stink intensifies, accompanied by acrid smoke and old blood.
There is a feeling that he is both old and young. Alive and dead. Human, mostly, but slowly changing.
